Resumé (or curriculum vitae for the snobs)

Work History

Redbox / Web/UI Designer
March 2010 to May 2010

I am currently working for Redbox designing various web and email marketing campaigns.

Hewitt Associates / Web/UI Designer
January 2009 to February 2010

In the year plus that I worked at Hewitt I had many roles and was involved in many projects. Here is a brief description of what my main responsibilities were.

User Experience Design
Working with the sales and production teams to develop new tools for the flagship product.

New Product Design/User Interface Design
Designing the functionality, as well as the look and feel, of new and updated products and features for several of the company's main products.

Product Branding
Applying client's branding to the base product. "Skinning" the client's site (for lack of a better term). This would involve creating custom branded images as well as customizing the site's style sheets.

Smith Design / Graphic Designer
August 2008 to October 2008

I worked at Smith as a freelancer designing brochures for a large health care client.

a5 inc. / Graphic Designer
May 2006 to August 2008

I was asked to join a5 inc. right out of college (before graduation actually). It was a great introduction to the world of professional design. Working for a small design firm allowed me to experience a wide range of projects, from branding to web interface design. When I decided it was time to move on I still kept in touch with the partners and have worked occasionally for them as a freelancer.

Skills

As a designer I understand the importance of keeping up with the latest technological advancements in the industry, as well as the current trends. I have a strong understanding of all the latest web technologies (such as JavaScript, jQuery, etc.) and am able to code in (x)html and css. I am a pro at all the Adobe Creative Suite (release 4) products (which includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Flash), and I have a working knowledge of Actionscript 3.0 for Flash.
